F-Secure covers Windows Mobile 5.0

F-Secure Monday announced its anti-virus product will support the Windows Mobile 5.0, citing the odds the PDA and smart phone operating system from Microsoft will come under increasing attacks from viruses.

"It is likely that it will become a target of virus writers in the future as its popularity grows,” said Antti Vihavainen, vice president of mobile security, in a news release.

F-Secure's Mobile Anti-Virus software already covers the Windows Mobile 2003 platform.

The price of the software is listed on F-Secure's Web site at €28.65 ($34.12) plus value-added tax for a 12-month subscription. Mobile Anti-virus is updated over-the-air, the company said.
